Floating in cyberspace, you see the words "Rubbish Bin #3" hanging in neon purple letters. They melt and reform constantly.
There is a penguin here, walking around on the ice.
There is a pile of linguistic drivel on the floor.

Skewered? Yes, he's been skewered.
You REALLY need to sleep, dude! I'll make Berit come sing you lullabies...

Take a close look at the blinking curser, Paul-
you are getting sleepy...
you are getting sleepy...
you are getting sleepy...
and when I clap my hands you will think that you are a mouse with a plunger gun.

*clap!*

*blinks a few times, looks at self*

*as sparky* Now, how did I get Gadget's plunger gun? Wait... who's Gadget? And where did I get this lovely contraption? *pulls trigger, accidentally shoots self in forehead*
*falls over*

Ugh....

Hahaha! Are you coming home anytime soon, boys?

I'll be completely done with the semester sometime before the end of the month... Is that soon?

Sooner than me!

Woot!
As you can see from the screenshot, I've been amusing myself with Last Order lately. It's very nice. It sums up what happened to Cloud and Zack before Final Fantasy VII.

Easter break... I'm on the last day of easter break and it already seems like such a long time ago.
But I only have a month left!

Maren said...

Wow...Emmett has a month left. That's a long time...

FINALS START FRIDAY!!!! AAAAAAAGH!!!!

Well actually, they really start on Thursday, because Shirai-sensei has put her section's oral exam for Japanese on Thursday, which is supposed to be a reading day along with Wednesday so the students can theoretically study but more than likely will spend less time studying than trying to keep themselves sane because they just finished dozens of papers for all their classes and are taking a deep breath before plunging headlong into the tests except that metaphor usually assumes "the plunge" is a plunge into water but I would really say that in this particular case it's more like plunging headfirst into a concrete wall and hoping that your neck holds up under the pressure because I have a pretty weak neck after suffering two fairly painful injuries without seeing a chiropractor yes I know I spelled that wrong or a general practitioner or anything and so it probably healed wrong in fact I can turn my head farther to one side than to the other because of that and it gets really weak when I lean my head back so I think that might cause problems for me later in life but I'll have to cross that bridge when I come to it because, well, I can't exactly cross a bridge if I'm nowhere near it without violating at least several physical laws and possibly tearing a hole in the space-time continuum which is always a bad thing because everything gets sucked out to the other side through the hole and we all go white hole and have a new big bang somewhere else which is really annoying to be in the middle of as it feels remarkably like finals especially a Japanese oral final which by the way is on Thursday when the finals should be starting Friday if we go by the university's established schedule which we're apparently not doing so it doesn't matter.

All right...when my eyes can become focused again after reading that I will congratulate you on a very nice metaphor and chiasm, because you kind of did one...
And then I will ask you when the flippin' crap you hurt your neck and why the flippin' crap you still insist upon pulling stubborn Janeways on me and not getting medical assistance!! (Can you hear me shouting?)
ahem.
Thanks for telling me about finals, best of luck to you, and I'm praying for everyone suffering through finals and the weeks leading up to them, and wishing everyone a large candy bar and beverage of choice, along with an un-interrupted 12 hours of sleep followed by 3 hours of either reading a book you actually want to read, watching a tv show or movie you'd like to, or surfing the net free of responsibilities. Okay, I think I've lost it. Back to Hemingway, whom I keep calling Hermingway. Maybe it's a subconscious desire to read Hermione-related fanfics. Hmm...something to consider.
